The Blue Alliance

Tips and tutorials for everyone interested in competitive robotics.

About

The Blue Alliance is a video tutorial series bringing you the how-to on topics relevant to competitive robotics teams. We survey products, techniques, and general knowledge in order to teach you what you need to know to be successful and learn new things. Whether it’s how to wire up an electrical system or integrate an Easy Button into your controls, we’ll show you how.

The show is hosted by Tom Bottiglieri and Greg Marra. Both are alumni of FIRST Robotics teams from Connecticut, and now are engineering majors in Boston. They once stared each other down from opposite sides of the Einstein field, but now collaborate on all sorts of robotics projects. Tom enjoys long romantic walks on the beach, hacking anything with wires onto VEX robots, and riding the subway. Greg likes inventing his own pizzas, playing DDR, and his favorite flavor of ice cream is brown.

The show receives technical assistance from Chris Jelly and Sam Hillyer. The Blue Alliance’s website is sysadmin’d by Chris Marra.

The Blue Alliance also offers Match Archives with video and scores from past events, and scouting information for future events. The system is coded by Greg Marra and Chris Jelly.
